How to Make Your Kids Eat Healthy Foods
What kids learn in their childhood will affects them in their adulthood. It is hard to make our kids eat healthy foods like vegetable, fruits and other weird-tasting food that does not seem so attractive to them. As a parent, you are considered lucky if your kids love to eat veggies but I tell you once they learn to eat veggies at such young age, they will thank you for their health and well-being in the future.
Most American kids nowadays are not familiar with healthy home-cooked meals because they grew up in a world where fast-food has become the primary every day meal. As parents, we all know that this condition is alarming to our kids’ health but still we are not doing anything to it. Do not worry! I have jot down some pointers where you can apply to your kids, most of these helpful tips are also based from my own experience as a parent. Start a small step now and you will be surprise at how it will change your kids’ health in the near future.
Practice what you preached
Kids learn by doing what you do. Some kids are just stubborn and they don’t do what is being told to do but instead learn by imitating you as their role model. Be the change you want to see, start living a healthy lifestyle and eating right. This way your kids will adapt the changes and learn to eat healthy foods. Be creative in creating new recipes which includes veggies that will attract your kids to eat. If you are a firm believer of eating healthy home-cooked meals, then do not buy or even encourage your kids to eat fast food because it will increase the risk of obesity in kids. Take them to exercise with you or spend time together doing an adventurous sports or involve in martial arts, kids just love activities!
